Eco Friendly House.

Owning your own home is a dream come true for any person. A home is a place where an individual feels most secured. All of us entrust our life’s savings to build the perfect home where we can live for the rest of our lives and see our children become adult. When I was 32 I wanted a home for my family which was not only visually appealing and spacious but also environmental friendly. As I have always been an environmental enthusiast I always wanted a house which was different and resource efficient.

Consciousness and determination towards the environment is very important. It is imperative that every individual do their bit as this impact the society and environment as a whole. But due to tiring work routine and life style we often ignore our contribution to the community.

Doing simple techniques like not wasting electricity, water conservation not only improves ones own living but also leaves a good impression on children, family and friends. Children will imitate you and similarly your friends will have something good to learn as well.

In order to minimize the utility cost of the house I decided to adopt different methods in my new home. I invested in the installation of solar panels in certain parts of the house, particularly for the external lights. Using double insulation for the walls was another way to hold the heat from the sun to penetrate inside the house. I also bought energy efficient appliances and light bulbs for the house. In order to help me with this eco-friendly based energy solution for the house I needed professional guidance. I therefore called electricians in Hollywood for all electrical assistance for my house.

History bears testimony to the fact that most civilizations have expanded around a water body which explains its relevance for both human and animal life. In the face of increased urbanization and population growth water preservation has become more and more important. Water is precious and should not be wasted. Techniques like periodic maintenance of pipes and washer in the bathroom and kitchen can prevent water wastage. Using spray taps instead of regular ones should help save water. Low flow shower heads wherein the water comes less forcefully is yet another technique to prevent unnecessary wastage of water. I was impressed to find beautiful design of lower impact shower heads and spray taps with plumbers in Hollywood which makes my bathroom look quite stylish. I also regularly seek their service for the maintenance of the bathrooms.

Using re-cycle water is also a way to conserve water. Rain water harvesting is an effective way to re-use water. It is also an efficient technique to check flooding of residential areas during the rainy season. The roof of the house can be made in such a way so that the rain water drips and gets collected in a container. This water can be used to flush the toilets, for laundry and watering of the plants. I got in touch with Hollywood roofers to help me design a slanting roof for my house.

Although the cost of making such a house maybe higher than its standard counterpart no one can over-rule the long term advantages of it. So, in case you are planning to invest in your new home why not make it eco-friendly.
